Every year, artists from all over the world are drawn to the small Arctic village of Jukkasjärvi on the shores of the Torne River. The attraction is the magnetic pull of the ICEHOTEL, a world-famous structure that is as much an art installation as it is a hotel. Some artists are experts in ice sculpting whereas others have never worked with the material, let alone seen snow. Together they create a unique property that is guaranteed to impress and mesmerise visitors and guests.
Our recent blog ‘ICEHOTEL 365 – the famous hotel becomes a year round attraction‘ details the exciting new concept opening in November 2016.
Today, we are pleased to share with you the first sketches released for the 27th ICEHOTEL – A house of cards made from ice and snow, an exotic palace inspired by Casablanca, and a blooming cherry tree made to last the winter by the British brothers Hugh and Henry Miller. Don’t they look incredible?!
The ICEHOTEL 365 opens on 10 November 2016 and Sunvil can take you there. Book your adventure to Swedish Lapland today.
